Some have made this analogy that Super X-Fi’s spatialisation seems to achieve Holographic Audio at the expense of audio detail. 

We should understand though what Super X-Fi actually achieves; it delivers the soundstage of a set of speakers, but for headphones -- which is akin to how we perceive sound in the natural world. 

On the other hand, if you stuck your ear right next to a speaker, you would obviously hear a very exaggerated audio presentation; which some would claim to be extremely detailed. Do an A/B test listening to speakers and then listen to the SXFI AMP, they should sound very similar.
